Installing HyperShift Pro

Roughly five minutes, most of which is Premiere Pro restarting. These instructions cover Windows — the only platform HyperShift Pro is currently released on.

Already bought it? Your download and licence key are on your Lemon Squeezy order page.

Windows 10 (1803+) or Windows 11 · Premiere Pro 26.x

  1. Step 01

    Check the requirements

You need all of the following before you start:

    • Adobe Premiere Pro 26.x. HyperShift Pro is not offered for earlier versions, because its behaviour was verified against Premiere 26.
    • Windows 10 (1803 or newer) or Windows 11. Windows is the only platform HyperShift Pro is released on today.
    • Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. This is already present on Windows 11, and on Windows 10 it is installed alongside Microsoft Edge. You almost certainly already have it.

macOS is not supported yet. See the compatibility section for why.

  2. Step 02

Get your download and licence key

Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, and so is delivery. The moment your payment goes through, Lemon Squeezy emails your receipt to the address you bought with. That email contains both things you need:

    • A download link for HyperShift-Pro-1.0.1-Windows.zxp — a single signed ZXP file, the standard package format for Adobe extensions.
    • Your licence key, which activates the extension.

You are not tied to that email. Both are available any time from your Lemon Squeezy order page, using the same address you bought with — so you can re-download the package on a new machine without contacting anyone.

This website does not host the package itself. Downloads stay with Lemon Squeezy so they remain tied to a real purchase.

  3. Step 03

    Install the ZXP

Windows cannot install a ZXP on its own; you need a ZXP installer. The aescripts ZXP/UXP Installer is free and is the one HyperShift Pro was tested with.

    1. Quit Adobe Premiere Pro.
    2. Open the ZXP installer.
    3. Drag HyperShift-Pro-1.0.1-Windows.zxp onto it, or use its Install button.
    4. Wait for it to report success.

The package is signed, so you should not see a publisher or untrusted extension warning, and you do not need to enable any developer mode.

  4. Step 04

    Open it in Premiere Pro

Start Premiere Pro and open a project. HyperShift Pro appears under Window ▸ Extensions ▸ HyperShift Pro.

Open it once from that menu. After that you can summon the bar from anywhere in Premiere with your shortcut.

  5. Step 05

    Activate your licence

On first run HyperShift Pro asks for your licence key. Copy the key from your Lemon Squeezy receipt — or from your Lemon Squeezy order page if the email is long gone — and paste it in.

Copy the key whole, with no leading or trailing spaces. Activation happens inside the extension; there is nothing to do on this website, and you never enter a licence key here.

One key activates 2 computers at a time, and keeps working offline for up to 30 days between checks. Deactivate a machine to free the slot for another one.

  6. Step 06

    Set your shortcut

The default on Windows is CtrlSpace. Open Settings inside HyperShift Pro to change it — pick a preset, or choose Custom and capture your own combination.

Windows gives the shortcut to whichever application registers it first, so if your combination is already taken, HyperShift Pro tells you and you can pick another.

If something goes wrong

My receipt has not arrived
Check the spam or promotions folder for a message from Lemon Squeezy first. If it is genuinely missing, your purchase is not lost — open your Lemon Squeezy order page and sign in with the email address you paid with. Your download and licence key are both there.
My licence key is not accepted
Copy the key again from your Lemon Squeezy order page, making sure you have the whole thing and no stray spaces around it. If it still refuses, you may already be activated on 2 machines — deactivate one to free a slot, or get in touch and it can be released for you.
HyperShift Pro is not in the Extensions menu
Fully quit and reopen Premiere Pro — the extension list is read at startup. If it is still missing, confirm your Premiere version is 26.x and that the ZXP installer reported success.
The shortcut does nothing
Another application has probably registered the same combination — on Windows, whichever program claims it first keeps it. Open Settings inside HyperShift Pro, choose a different shortcut, and try again.
The bar appears with a title bar around it
That is the fallback window, which HyperShift Pro uses if its native floating window cannot start. Everything still works. Restarting Premiere Pro usually resolves it.
Updating to a newer version
Download the latest package from your Lemon Squeezy order page and install it over the existing one. It updates the installation in place rather than creating a second copy. There is no automatic updater yet.
